Imprinted
2021
"Imprinted" is a series of facial impressions captured on makeup-removing wipes, transforming a temporary art into a lasting, tangible piece. Jay explored cosmetics in depth during the 2020 pandemic. Each wipe holds the pigments of products, his facial shape, and the hours spent to create a look. This piece later won first place in the 2021 Juried Student Showcase at Coastal Carolina University.
It's kinda like a glamour death mask ;)
